Event Photography at Beef & Bass Chelsea with North Agency & E-Idols Agency

One of my favourite types of shoots: a dinner event with great energy, great styling and even better people.

North Agency and E-Idols Agency hosted their Galentine’s Community Networking dinner at Beef & Bass Chelsea, and it was the ideal backdrop for a night of flash photography, cocktails and conversation.

Dinner events are fast-paced but so much fun to shoot — you’re weaving between tables, catching reactions, capturing plates as they land, and finding those in-between moments that brands love.

My approach for evenings like this:

• Flash everything: restaurant lighting is moody, and flash brings the whole setting to life.
• Photograph the room before guests arrive: table setups, menus, place cards, branded touchpoints.
• Capture the food as it’s served": natural, unposed, editorial-style plates.
• Stay close enough to catch the moments, far enough not to interrupt — the sweet spot of candid event photography.
• Create a mix of wide shots, mid shots & tight details so the gallery tells the full story.

Chelsea dining spots like Beef & Bass are amazing for events — lots of texture, warm tones and plenty of movement to play with.
